My husband and I decided early on in our engagement to get married in Grand Cayman. Our wedding date was July 2, 2011, which is not exactly a chilly time of year in the Caribbean. About 6 months before that date, I embarked on the challenge of finding a wedding dress that complimented my classic aesthetic while encompassing the theme of a wedding in the islands. Dimitra’s Bridal was the first bridal shop on my list, and quickly became the last. I worked with Tina, who after a very brief description of what I was looking for, brought out 5 or 6 gowns that all would have been perfect for the day. I remember being so impressed that she could produce dresses quickly that fit such a unique circumstance.

I chose the second one I tried on for the wedding, and have never thought twice about my decision. I absolutely love the dress and the way it blended into the background of the Caymans seamlessly. I received excellent service from Dimitra’s, and to this day consider Tina a friend. She was totally understanding, easy to talk to, and was wonderful with my family. Dimitra’s also adhered in any way possible to my hectic work schedule, which really meant a lot to me.

I would highly recommend Tina and her team to anyone looking for a beautiful gown in addition to a pleasant experience! You won’t regret it!

As a self-proclaimed fashionista, I had so many ideas of what I liked, but absolutely no idea of what I wanted for my bridal gown. I came into my appointment at Dimitra’s with a binder full of wedding and fashion inspirations, but completely clueless on how I was going to tie it all together. I was so lucky to have Tina as my bridal consultant at Dimitra’s. She patiently looked through each picture of red carpet dresses, hair and makeup ideas, venue sights, and flower arrangements to fully experience my vision for my wedding.

When we first started, she brought in several dresses that I had picked out and one dress that she thought would be “the one.” I took one glance at that dress, and I thought to myself, “Absolutely not.” We went one by one through all my suggestions, and though they were all pretty, none of them were stunning on me. She eyed her pick, and asked me to just give it a try. Turns out, she knew better of what I liked more than I knew myself. Because this Ines di Santo gown combined the untraditional haute couture I was dreaming of with the bridal beauty of the wedding. This blush dress allowed me to give tribute to my rose gold engagement ring that my fiancé had designed by featuring rose gold as the color theme for my wedding. This dress tied everything together to give this romantically vintage themed wedding a flair of fashion.

In the end, I had three beautiful dresses to choose from: an Oscar de la Renta, a Vera Wang, and this Ines di Santo at Dimitra’s. I ended up choosing to go with Dimitra’s because my experience with them is exactly what every expectant bride hopes for. Everyone from the hostess, to my bridal consultant, to the seamstress went out of their way to patiently accommodate me and my family’s schedules and personal requests. And the wedding dress was a sensation! As the Elizabeth Anne Designs wedding blog puts it, “The bride’s gown, designed by Ines Di Santo, is the crown jewel of this wedding.”
